For this 39th edition of AVV, the MIR invites you to a tour in the new exhibition Ferdinand Hodler. Profession of Faith
Guided tour with Elonora Pimponi, art historian
Through some fifty paintings and drawings on loan from the most prestigious public and private art collections in Switzerland and Germany, this unprecedented exhibition reveals the connections between Ferdinand Hodler and religion. From rare biblical subjects to large-scale Symbolist compositions, including interpretations of the Reformation, the selected works trace the spiritual journey of the painter, who gradually transformed his Protestant heritage into a vision of nature as an expression of a higher unity.
