A retrospective
For over 60 years, Peter Klasen, a pioneer with Erró and Monory of Figuration Narrative, has been casting a lucid, penetrating gaze on the world.
From his collage-like paintings of the 60s, in which fragments of women's bodies are confronted with everyday objects, to his later frontal paintings of padlocked doors, railway carriages, railings, locks and road signs, Peter Klasen inventories urban reality and the décor of our daily lives, with the sole aim of “sublimating external hostility”.
Galerie Sonia Zannettacci is delighted to have been able to bring together key works for this retrospective, reflecting the different phases of his work.
