MISCELLANÉES
15 Years of Flemish Painting in Geneva
Since its opening in Geneva in 2011, De Jonckheere has held an exhibition every spring and fall, each centered on a specific theme that highlights Flemish painting. Grouped around themes exploring history, poetry, or philosophy, the works are interpreted from various perspectives.
Whether associated with the words literature has used to describe them, arranged chronologically around the theme of landscape to highlight the genre’s evolution, juxtaposed with animal sculpture, or simply linked together, these works reflect not only a taste but also a commitment.
This exhibition draws on previous ones to focus solely on the essential: the beauty of the Renaissance and the Golden Age of Flemish painting, championed for 50 years in various venues such as Brussels, Paris, London, and Monaco. A place of intimate encounters and deliberate silence, our gallery in Geneva welcomes art lovers and the curious alike to share the paintings we cherish.
