Guided Tour MAH
Casanova à Genève. Un libertin chez Calvin

Por this 37th edition of AVV, MIR, AVV's new partner, is offering a tour of its new exhibition  CASANOVA À GENÈVE. Un libertin chez Calvin

Guided Tour with Elisa Garin, historienne

To mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of Giacomo Casanova (Venice, 1725 – Dux, Bohemia, 1798), the Geneva Museum of Art and History (MAH) is paying tribute to this iconic figure of the 18th century, who went down in history as the embodiment of the seducer with countless female conquests. During his travels across Europe, the Venetian stayed several times in the City of Calvin.

Accompanied by a catalog and numerous events—including an international symposium (October 16–17, 2025) and a film series in partnership with Les Cinémas du Grütli (October 1–9, 2025)—the new temporary exhibition Casanova in Geneva is the first dedicated to this episode in the adventurer's life.

Featuring many rare and even previously unseen works, it invites visitors on a fascinating journey in the footsteps of a free man whose story continues to fascinate.
