Ladina Gaudenz / "Fleuri-Construit"

Landscapes, mountains, lakes, flowers and grasses-mostly from existing, sometimes imaginary places-form a central point in Ladina Gaudenz's work, with which she negotiates the relationship between man and nature and subtly addresses its fragility. In doing so, she often plays with extreme close-ups and changes of perspective perspective or with blurred colors and reflections of nature in the water. Reflection of a landscape, the latter conceals a potential of immateriality to which the artist is particularly interested. From this approach of immateriality, the construction of  the thought can be turned more towards the creation of a void which, despite the absence of color, is not nothing, but characterizes a painting as if the stain were painted. In Ladina Gaudenz, for example, clouds and fog can be observed as areas left empty. Of a fleeting nature and without haptic form, these phenomena are the immaterial components of a nothing that yet exists. - Excerpt text Seraina Peer ( Jeu avec le vide / Spiel mit der Leere 2022)

Pierre Marie Lejeune / UNE SCULPTURE DE L’IMMATÉRIEL

Pierre Marie Lejeune does not sculpt matter, but directly the wind, water, light. Paradoxically, the artist elaborates his work with heavy materials: iron, glass, steel, to which he confers simple, primordial, timeless forms.
